College Football Follows

I get asked all the time about who is worth following on twitter when it comes to sports betting.  There are a ton of people who offer outstanding information. There are too many to list here so given the focus right now should be college football, here’s my list of  handicappers, oddsmakers, and information sites that treat betting college football with an unsurpassed level of dedication.  To everyone I didn’t include, I’ll apologize in advance since I know I’m pissing people off by doing this.  Bottom line with social media, the community is only as strong as the folks that contribute regularly. To all of you that ask me questions, you’re the engine that drives this machine that will continue to grow as sports betting becomes more widespread.

Jay Kornegay ‏ @JayKornegay

Top dog at the most respected book in all of Las Vegas. Jay and his team offer more betting options than any casino in town and welcome the opportunity to book action from the sharpest bettors

PayneInsider.com ‏ @PayneInsider

A guy who “gets it.” Understands that fortunes aren’t created over night in any sport and won’t promise gaudy winning percentages to anyone. Payne’s more than happy to share trends & analysis while engaging followers with informed opinions across all sports while specializing in all things football

Warren Sharp ‏ @SharpFootball

There isn’t a more fitting name out there in the analysis world than Sharp for this guy. His computer models produce winners in both college and pro football while his educated perspective on quantifying a myriad of data goes a long way.

PhillyGodfather ‏ @phillygodfather

There are people that claim they have connections to sharp betting groups; this man actually has them. As a proud Philly native, PGF is about as real as they get when it comes to sharing “the moves” as he calls them. One warning; if you don’t like coffee or can’t handle #GetMoneyYo hashtags initially, you’ll learn to love them over time.

Right Angle Sports ‏ Verified account @RASPicks Fully transparent record keeping against widely available lines, RAS is best known for dominating college basketball totals. When it comes to college football he moves the market so don’t blink or you’ll miss the numbers on all of his best plays.

Bryan Leonard @BLeonardSports

There are handicappers who sell their picks without putting their own money on the line, Bryan is not one of them.  He competes in contests around towns and was first in line when the Golden Nugget released their game of the year numbers this summer. If he happens to share his early Sunday plays with you listen, the line almost always goes his way.

Chris Andrews ‏ @andrewssports

Former casino owner and legal bookmaker for over 30 years. This man shares a passion for the industry unmatched by a lot of former bookmakers. Chris has a flair all his own and provides great content available at www.againstthenumber.com

Micah Roberts ‏ @MicahRoberts7

Former Las Vegas Sports Book Director who writes columns covering College Football & Hoops, NFL, MLB, NBA and NASCAR, all with a gaming spin. You can find his work with the Linemakers on Sporting News more often than not while he provides a thought provoking perspective integrating while weaving perspective together from both sides of the counter.

Bruce Marshall ‏ @BruceAMarshall

Editor – The Gold Sheet, Editor-in-Chief European Soccer Weekly, FB analyst Sports Byline USA and all around good guy in the industry. Bruce is new to twitter but not the sports betting community; once he starts sharing the 50+ years of data he has stored in his head watch out because you won’t be able to absorb it fast enough.

Chris Fallica ‏ @chrisfallica

This happens to be a guy with more power than most people know about when it comes to college football. Chris is a research analyst for one of the most popular college football programs on TV but recognizing him as that and that alone doesn’t do him justice.

Sports Cheetah (@sportscheetah)

He isn’t a big name like some folks on this list but his passion for college football (and other sports) is tremendous. Sports Cheetah is proof positive that people’s hard work pays dividends on social media even if you don’t have mass media to help you do your bidding.

Paul Bessire ‏ @predictmachine

General Manager, http://t.co/OAQMZKRK. Computer simulations go a long way to helping your handicapping and this guy does them 50,000 times. His projections provide a very friendly tool for folks looking to qualify their betting with quantitative reasoning.

Clay Travis @ClayTravisBGID

Author of Dixieland Delight & On Rocky Top, writer at http://OutkicktheCoverage.com  & http://FoxSports.com , @3hl1045 and soon to be cohost with Erin Andrews on Fox college football. Clay can be a polarizing personality but there’s one thing he’s not; boring.  One of the biggest proponents of making gambling a very relevant part of college football culture, Clay may be one of the best allies the sports betting industry has in it’s quest for legalization.

David Payne Purdum ‏ @DavidPurdum

“I cover gambling, wise guys and scoundrels” reads his profile and it’s about as apropos as anything you could devise. David has covered college football for a number of entities with a focus on gambling while also uncovering some of the biggest stories in the business.  Again, there aren’t enough good guys in the betting industry but Purdum consistently rises to the top by operating with class and journalistic ethics.

Chad Millman @ChadMillman

Chad’s moved on to greener pastures, ESPN the Magazine editor, from when he was most well known for exclusively covering the gambling space at ESPN Insider. His love of the industry has helped make his network realize how sports betting chatter is intertwined with plot lines throughout the season and his columns each week on where the money is going for college football is extremely well trafficked.

PatMorrowLV ‏ @thePatMorrow

Oddsmaker at Bovada, he has a pulse on where the public money is flowing long before you do.

AnonymousGamblr ‏ @AnonymousGamblr

Distinguished Oddsmaker might be a bit of an overstatement. Reading AG’s timeline paints a picture of debauchery and nonsense which we all need in the sports betting community.  Most of the advice he offers shouldn’t be taken seriously but his self deprecating humor about the industry is surely worth the follow.

Dave Mason ‏ @DaveMasonBOL

Sportsbook Brand Manager for the fastest growing sportsbook in the US, BetOnline.ag. Dave has made it a priority to share what betting trends look like at his shop while answering questions, no matter how silly, from everyone when time permits.

DonBest.com ‏ @DonBestSports

Don Best Sports is the BEST source for all your sports betting information. Injuries, odds, stats; you name it the content is there for college football betting enthusiasts.

DonBestAdvantage @DBAdvantage

The newest product in the sports information space comes with never before published power ratings from industry leader Kenny White and plenty of gambling video content you can use for getting to the window.

Betting Talk ‏ @bettingtalk_

Covering the sports betting industry, both offshore and in Las Vegas. Formerly Beyond the Bets, a trusted source for newsworthy industry content consistently providing a level headed take on what we should and shouldn’t expect as bettors.

Team Rankings @TeamRankings

Data driven sports predictions, rankings/stats, and contest strategy. NBA, MLB, NFL, NCAAF & NCAAB

Adam Kramer ‏ @KegsnEggs

Founder and gatekeeper of Kegs ‘n Eggs. Lead College Football Writer for Bleacher Report. Advocate of FAT GUY TOUCHDOWNS, #MACtion and Las Vegas tomfoolery.  I’d like to add a lot more but I really can’t for one of the most creative gambling columnists you’ll find anywhere on the net. The only problem? He writes too many columns about non-gambling content which we need to work on for this year.

Drew Collins ‏ @CollinsDrew

The brave cohost of the best damn podcast about betting college football going now. Drew has the unenviable task of reigning 3 other clowns (myself included) each week all fall while we break down as many games as you can in a one hour show.

TomahawkNation.com ‏ @TomahawkNation

Self proclaimed FSU homer as the name would indicate but one of the 4 headed monsters on the OTL podcast with me every week. There isn’t anything this guy doesn’t know about ACC football and most importantly he isn’t afraid to share.

Have anyone else you think should be added to the college football list? Email us here
